Hi! I’m Geoff Willmott, newly arrived at the Department of Physics at Auckland. I grew up in Mt Eden, and it’s great to be back home after 15 years based in the UK and Wellington.

My main research interests are nanofluidics, nanomechanics of soft matter, and dynamic microfluidics, which sit within the Condensed Matter research area and involve work within the Department of Chemistry here. I will get some juicy details up on some research pages (under construction!) but in the meantime there will be a blog post or two.

Outside of work I do enjoy a bit of sport, and it’s always a bit of fun in the cross-over … forward pass anyone?
